The Kymeta u8 Flat Panel GEO Terminal is ready to go, an off the shelf solution to integrate into your existing Ku Band iDirect VSAT mobility network.

The Kymeta u8 Flat Panel GEO Terminal uses Electronically Steered Phased Array Antenna technology to provide operators with a flat form factor satellite antenna with unrivaled tracking performance to ensure the Kymeta u8 Flat Panel GEO Terminal stays pointed to and connected with the satellite regardless of the terrain.

The Kymeta u8’s flat lightweight form factor allow the antenna to be mounted on vehicles and used in applications that previously were not viable using traditional parabolic satellite antenna terminals. Kymeta’s latest u8 Antenna model has been re-engineered from the previous Kymeta u7 model to provide full coverage of the Ku band, increased antenna performance (up to 2.5dB), and extended environmental coverage.

STEP Electronics is the Australia distributor of the Kymeta range of products and has been working with Kymeta since 2016. STEP Electronics’ technical staff have been trained by Kymeta to provide installation, commissioning, and field maintenance services.  Av-Comm’s subsidiary SkyTel provides managed satellite services for the Kymeta u7 and u8 terminals, offering satellite network design and on-demand services.
