Description

The UHP-120 Satellite Modem is a high-performance Satellite modem designed specifically for large-scale deployment in broadband VSAT networks operating over High Throughput Satellites. The UHP-120 Satellite Modem can process up to 150 000 IP packets per second, 225 Mbps of traffic and two carriers up to 500 Msps. The UHP-120 Satellite modem achieves this in a super-compact form factor, with low power consumption (less than 8W) and the most efficient utilization of the satellite resource. The UHP-120 Satellite Modem features up to 256APSK modulation, 5% spectral roll-off, adaptive modulation and coding, adaptive power control and 96% efficient TDMA protocol. The UHP-120 Satellite Modem is installed as a Ruggedized weatherproof design, made for outdoor installation. The modems IP67 compliant enclosure guarantees quick start and operating performance over a wide range of temperatures and a harsh environment.

The UHP-120 satellite modem is equipped with two high-speed demodulators. The dual demodulator in conjunction with a built-in advanced beam switching algorithm facilitates seamless roaming of mobile satellite terminals between distinct beams of HTS satellites.
